Procedure

For Clients or MediaAgents Configured With Commvault Firewall Settings

  1. Stop the Commvault services on the client or MediaAgent.
  2. Set the port number on which the GxCVD service communicates by adding the additional setting displayed in the following table.

For instructions on adding additional settings from the CommCell Console, see Add or Modify an Additional Setting.

    Name nCVDPORT
    Category Session
    Type Integer
Value Port number between 1000 and 65535 (not used by any other service).
  3. If the client or MediaAgent runs the Windows operating system and is from a previous Commvault version, set the port number on which the GxClMgrS service communicates by adding the additional setting displayed in the following table.

For instructions on adding additional settings from the CommCell Console, see Add or Modify an Additional Setting.

    Name nEVMGRCPORT
    Category Session

  4. Start the Commvault services on the client or MediaAgent computer.

For Client or MediaAgents NOT Configured with Commvault Firewall Settings
