Uninstalling the ObjectStore for Salesforce

Uninstall the ObjectStore for Salesforce in the Salesforce AppExchange.

After you uninstall the ObjectStore for Salesforce, the data continues to reside on the ObjectStore. You can manage the data by signing in to the Web Console with your ObjectStore credentials.

Procedure

  1. Sign in to Salesforce with an administrator account.
  2. Click Setup in the upper right of the page.
  3. Select the page layout that is integrated with ObjectStore. In the navigation pane, click Build > Customize > object > Page Layouts.

    The Standard Object page displays all of the page layouts for the standard object.

  4. In the Action column, click Edit for the page that you want to integrate with the Commvault ObjectStore.

    The Settings palette appears at the top of the page.

    From the Settings palette navigation, click VisualForce Pages.

  5. In the Commvault ObjectStore area, drag the element that is labeled COS_<Element>_VF from the Commvault ObjectStore are to the Settings palette

    In the example, the COS_Account_VF element gets added to the Visualforce page.

  6. In the Commvault ObjectStore area, in the upper right, select the remove icon.
  7. On the Settings pane, click Save

Result

The ObjectStore functionality is no longer integrated.

What to Do Next

  1. Repeat the procedure for each page layout that is integrated with the ObjectStore.
  2. Uninstall the ObjectStore for Salesforce app.
    1. Sign in to Salesforce with an administrator account.
    2. Click Setup in the upper right of the page.
    3. In the navigation pane, click Build > Develop > Installed Packages.
    4. On the Installed Packages page, next to the Commvault ObjectStore entry, click Uninstall.
