You can create additional recovery target to specify options for destination VMs. During the guided setup, you created a recovery target to function as the destination site for replication operations, but you can create additional recovery targets to use as destination sites.
In multi-tenant environments, tenant users often do not have access to destination site resources. In this case, tenant administrators must share destination sites with tenant users. You can allocate some space for destination sites by creating recovery targets and then assigning tenant user permissions to the recovery targets.
Before You Begin
To use Distributed Storage datastores as recovery targets, you must set up Distributed Storage clusters as storage targets. For instructions, see Configuring Distributed Storage for DR.
To review the list of options for the destination hypervisor, see the following pages:
From the navigation pane, go to Disaster recovery > Recovery targets.
The Recovery targets page appears.
The Add recovery target page appears.
From the Application type list, select the type of operations that use this recovery target.
From the Select vendor list, select the virtualization platform type for the destination.
The page displays options that are available for the vendor you selected.
In the Recovery target name box, enter a descriptive name for the destination site.
Enter hypervisor-specific values for the other options on the page.
