When you log on to the Command Center for the first time, you can finish the Core Setup using the wizard. The wizard helps you to set up a disk storage pool, modify the server plan according to your requirements, and then configure replication for disaster recovery.
Before You Begin
Note the storage location, which can be any folder on your local machine or network, a location in the cloud, or a location in a HyperScale storage pool, where you can store data in a temporary cache before it is replicated to the secondary site.
Go to the Command Center URL that your administrator provided.
The URL has the following format: http://webhost/adminconsole.
Enter your user name and password, and then click Login.
A message appears that says you have to activate a license within a specific time period.
The initial application setup page appears.
Select Add storage.
The Core setup wizard appears.
On the Add storage page, select the type of storage you want to use:
On the Disk tab, enter the name, type, and location of the drive.
On the Cloud tab, enter the name and location of the cloud storage pool.
On the HyperScale tab, enter the name and location of the storage pool.
Optional: To eliminate duplicate blocks of data during replication, move the Use deduplication toggle key to the right.
The Guided Setup page appears.
