Getting Started with Nutanix Files Exported to CIFS

Verify that the environment meets the system requirements, add the access node, complete the file server guided setup, add the storage array, and then perform a test backup and restore.

Procedure

1. Verify the following things about your environment:

   • Is Nutanix Files 3.5 or a more recent version

   • Meets the system requirements for the Windows file system

2. Complete the file server guided setup.

3. Add Commvault software to the file server.

4. Add the storage array.

5. To perform IntelliSnap backups, enable IntelliSnap Backups.

6. Perform a test backup and restore.
