For migrating your VMware/Azure and Hyper-V VMs to Amazon EC2 instances, you must install drivers in the source VM for the converted instance to boot, regardless of the VM conversion method.
Note
NVMe and ENA drivers are required only when destination Amazon EC2 instance type is nitro-based. To check if your instance is nitro-based, see "Current generation instances" in Instance types in the AWS documentation.
