Adding a Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale Server for NDMP Backup Operations for Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale/PowerScale

You can add a NAS Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale server for NDMP backups.

Start the Configuration Wizard

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File Servers.

   The Overview page appears.

2. Go tot he File servers tab.

3. In the upper-right area of the page, click Add server.

   The Configure File Server page appears.

4. Select NAS as the file server type and click Next.

   The Add NAS server page of the configuration wizard appears.

Server Configuration

1. In the Name box, type a name for the Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale.

2. In the Host name box, type the fully qualified host name of the Dell EMC Isilon/PowerScale.

3. Click Next.

   The Plan page of the configuration wizard appears.

1. From the Plan list, select a server plan.

2. Click Next.

   The Backup Method page of the configuration wizard appears.

1. Move the NDMP toggle key to the right.

2. Click Next.

   The Network Share Configuration page of the configuration wizard appears.

Network Share Configuration

1. For Array, click Add.

   The Add array dialog box appears.

   1. From the Select vendor list, select Dell EMC Isilon.

   2. In the Array name box, type the array name.

   3. In the Control host box, type the control host IP.

   4. In the User name and Password boxes, type the credentials for the array.

   5. (Optional) From the Access node list, select an access node.

   6. Click Save.

2. Click Next.

   The NDMP Configuration page of the configuration wizard appears.

NDMP Configuration

1. To select the access nodes to use, click Add.

   The Add access node dialog box appears.

2. Expand the Access node groups section, and then select the access node groups.

3. Expand the Access nodes section, and select the data access nodes.

   Access nodes are computer that are MediaAgents.

4. In the NDMP login box and the NDMP password box, enter the credentials needed to access the NAS server.

5. To assign a different listen port, in the Listen port box, enter a port number.

6. The default value (10000) is the default port number for NDMP protocol on the NAS Server.

7. Click Next.

   The Migrate To This Server page appears.

8. CLick Add.
