Editing Pre-Process and Post-Process Commands

You can edit the pre-processes and post-processes for a subclient.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.

    The Overview page appears.

  2. Go to the File servers tab, and then click the file server.

    The file server page appears.

  3. Go to the Subclients tab and click the subclient for which you want to edit the pre-process and post-process commands..

    The subclient Overview page appears.

  4. In the Pre-process and post-process commands section, click Advanced settings.

    The Edit pre-process and post-process commands dialog box appears.

  5. Under Scan process settings, enter the following information:

    • Pre-scan process: Enter the path to the batch file.

    • Post-scan process: Enter the path to the batch file.

    • Run post-scan process for all attempts: To run a post-process for all attempts of a job phase, whether it is successful, interrupted, suspended, or when the job fails, move the toggle key to the right.

  6. Under Backup process settings, enter the following information:

    • Pre-backup process: Enter the path to the batch file.

    • Post-backup process: Enter the path to the batch file.

    • Run post-backup process for all attempts: To run a post-process for all attempts of a job phase, whether it is successful, interrupted, suspended, or when the job fails, move the toggle key to the right.

  7. To impersonate a user, move the Impersonate user toggle key to the right, and then specify which credentials to use. Use credentials that have permissions to execute the process.

    • To enter the credentials, click Enter credentials, and then enter the credential to use.

    • To use saved credentials, click Use saved credentials, and then select the credential to use.

  8. Click Save.
