Getting Started with Azure NetApp Files for CIFS

Getting started with protecting Azure NetApp Files CIFS shares using IntelliSnap includes installing the Windows File System Agent, completing the File servers guided setup, and then performing a test backup and restore.

Procedure

1. Verify that your environment meets the system requirements for CIFS shares.

   • To use IntelliSnap backups, verify the system requirements.

2. Complete the File Servers guided setup.

3. Install the File System package on the access node (file server).

4. To use IntelliSnap for backups, enable IntelliSnap backups for the subclient.

5. For IntelliSnap backups, install the MediaAgent package.

6. Perform a test backup and restore.
