You can restore a Nutanix Files CIFS subclient to the original location (in place) or to a different location (out of place).
Procedure

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.
The Overview page appears.

Go to the File servers tab, and then click the file server.
The file server page appears.

Under Protocols, click CIFS.
The CIFS Overview page appears.

On the Subclients tab, in the row for the subclient that you want to restore, click the action button , and then click Restore.
The Backup content page appears.

Select the content to restore:

To restore the contents of the entire subclient, select the check box next to Name.

To restore particular files, expand the folder and then select the files.To restore particular files, expand the folder and then select the files.

Click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.

From the Destination list, select the computer to which the data is to be restored.

Specify the restore location:

To restore to the original backup location (in place), select the Restore to original folder check box.

To restore to a new location (out of place), clear the Restore to original folder check box, and then in the Destination Path box, enter the full path to the destination folder.

If the destination client does not have access to the UNC path provided in the Destination Path box, then move the Impersonate user toggle key to the right, and then enter the user name and password required to access the UNC path.

Click Submit.
