Configuring the Huawei Storage Array Using Array Management

For IntelliSnap backups from Commvault software, add the Huawei storage array and configuration information to the CommServe database.

Procedure

1. On the ribbon in the CommCell Console, click the Storage tab, and then click Array Management.

   The Array Management dialog box appears.

2. Click Add.

   The Array Properties dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, specify the following information:

   1. From the Snap Vendor list, select Huawei.

   2. In the Name box, enter the serial number (SN) of the Huawei storage system.

      Tip

      If you are adding the physical storage array for a vStore, the storage array SN must be the one associated with the vStore.

   3. In the Control Host box, enter the management IP address of the Huawei array.

   4. In the Credentials area, click Change.

      The Enter the User Name and Password dialog box appears.

   5. Type the credentials of a user who has the Administrator privilege or the Super-Admin privilege, and then click OK.

      Note

      • Both the username and the password are case sensitive.

      • The password must not contain '?' character.

4. To configure additional MediaAgents to perform operations on the storage array, click the Array Access Nodes tab, and then select configuration options.

5. On the Snap Configuration tab, configure the snapshot configuration properties for your environment or use the default values.

6. Click OK.
