Recover Messages from an Exchange Database IntelliSnap Backup

Applies to: IntelliSnap (Exchange 2010 or later)

This method is supported for the following environments:

  • Database Availability Group (DAG)

  • Stand-alone

  • Application-aware

Note

Live browse is only supported when the snapshot is present on the snap primary copy. Live browse is not supported for non-snap copies of Intellisnap-enabled backups.

You can recover individual messages from an Exchange database IntelliSnap backup. Restoring messages is performed in two steps:

  1. Create a recovery point.

  2. List the recovery point and recover messages.
