Setting Up a New CommServe Server With CommServe LiveSync

You can set up a brand new CommServe server with a High Availability CommServe Host.

  1. Review general guidelines to prepare your environment for setting up the CommServe LiveSync feature.

  2. Install the production CommServe host.

  3. Install the standby CommServe host.

  4. Install a MediaAgent.

  5. Configure a storage device, preferably a Disk Library, to store backup data.

  6. Enable the LiveSync operation.

  7. Setup Frequent Disk Cache for LiveSync Replication.

  8. Configure connectivity to remote Web Server and Workflow engine clients.

  9. Verify the default setup.

  10. Verify disaster readiness.

What to Do Next

Perform a production failover to switch the CommServe server from the currently active CommServe host to a standby CommServe host. For more information about performing production failovers, see Performing Production Failovers.
