You can verify the status of a MediaAgent.
Procedure
- 
From the CommCell Browser, navigate to Storage Resources | MediaAgents. 
- 
Right-click the appropriate MediaAgent, and then click Properties. 
- 
Click the Control tab. 
- 
The status of the MediaAgent must be displayed as Ready. 
- 
If the MediaAgent is not Ready, verify that the services are running on the new MediaAgent. If necessary, from the CommCell Browser. right-click the MediaAgent, and then go to All Tasks > Check Readiness to identify the problem.
