Adding a Gateway

You can add a gateway.

You must take into account the following information:

• If there is a gateway connecting the Command Center to the CommServe computer, provide the fully qualified domain name of the gateway (for example, gateway.gatewayservices.com)

  • The host name of the proxy computer must be resolvable from outside of the perimeter network and inside the local network.

  • Verify that port 8403 is open for connections from outside of the perimeter network and inside the local network.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Servers.

   The Servers page appears.

2. In the upper-right, click Add gateway.

   The Add gateway dialog box appears.

3. In Host name, enter the fully qualified domain name or the IP address of the server.

4. In Server name, enter a name for the access node.

   This is the name that identifies the access node in the Commvault software.

5. For OS Type, select the operating system of the server.

6. Click Save.
