Create a replication target for the following scenarios:
- 
To identify resources that can be used for live mounts and to specify parameters for live mount operations, including live mounts that are performed for test failover. 
- 
To enable testing failover operations for VMs using live mounts. 
- 
To specify options for replication to a destination site. 
- 
To configure Distributed Storage clusters as destination sites for replication. 
Before You Begin
- 
Configure a hypervisor for the destination. For information, see the documentation for the virtualized platform that you are creating a hypervisor for. For example, for Google Cloud, see Configuring Backups for Google Cloud.

Review the list of options for the destination hypervisor: 
Procedure
- 
From the navigation pane, go to Auto recovery > Targets. The Targets page appears. 
- 
At the top-right area of te page, click Add. The Add Target page appears. 
- 
From the Select vendor page, select the virtual platform for the destination. 
- 
Click Next. The General page of the replication target wizard appears 
- 
Enter hypervisor-specific values in each page that is available for the type of hypervisor. 
- 
Click Submit.
