On a MediaAgent, install the software packages that are required by the Case Manager.
Note
The software packages must be installed on a MediaAgent associated with the backup plan of the case. Case Manager involves two MediaAgents - one MediaAgent is associated with the source client (Exchange) and the other MediaAgent is used by the case.
Procedure

Decide which MediaAgent to install the Case Manager packages on:

Use an existing MediaAgent.

Install a MediaAgent to use specifically with Case Manager:

Verify that your environment meets the sizing requirements for MediaAgents.

Note
You must have at least one Windows MediaAgent when you create a case that contains email data because you cannot install the Exchange package on a Linux MediaAgent. This is not a requirement if you create a case that only contains file data.

Install the following packages on all MediaAgents that will be used with Case Manager:

The Exchange package is not required for cases that only contain file data.

Either Web Server package:

Index Gateway package with the Content Extractor package. The Index Gateway is a lightweight Web Server.

Content Analyzer package: This package is required only if you want the software to detect personally identifiable information (PII) (such as passport numbers) in email messages. For a list of the PII that can be detected, see Personally Identifiable Information (PII) Entity Types. To distribute the processing load, you can install the Content Analyzer package on multiple computers.
