Perform a Test Backup and Restore of the File Servers

To verify that the File servers is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up the File System

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Files.

   The Overview page appears.

2. Go to the Files tab.

3. In the row for the cluster, click the action button , and then click Back up.

   The Backup dialog box appears.

4. Click Submit.

Restore the File System

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Files.

   The Overview page appears.

2. Go to the Files tab.

3. In the row for the cluster, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Restore dialog box appears.

4. Select the subclients or backupsets to be restored and click Select Content.

   The Backup content page appears.

5. Select the content to be restored and click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

6. Select the restore destination, restore options, and destination folder path.

7. Click Restore.
