When you update an Microsoft 365 Plan, you can modify various settings, including the backup and content indexing.
Go to the Microsoft 365 Plan

From the navigation pane, go to Manage > Plans. The Plans page appears.

On the Office 365 tab, click on the plan. The plan details page appears. 
Modify the Backup Settings
- 
On the Overview tab, in the upper-right area of the SharePoint section, click Edit. 
- 
In the Edit SharePoint settings window, specify the number of file versions to backup. 
- 
Click Save. 
Modify the Search Settings
- 
On the Overview tab, in the Search section, move the Content Indexing toggle key to the right. 
- 
Click Edit. 
- 
Under Advanced Options, in the Include file types section, include or exclude specific file types for content indexing. 
- 
Click Save.
