Setting the Staging Retention Period for Data Backup

You can set the staging retention period for data backup in days and cycles. This setting is available at subclient level.

Procedure

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Big data.

2. Click YugabyteDB, and then click a cluster instance.

   The cluster page appears.

3. Click the Namespace Group tab.

   The Namespace group page appears.

4. Click a namespace group for which you want to set the staging retention period.

   The namespace group Overview page appears.

5. In the General tile, click the edit icon associated with the Staging retention period option.

   The Edit staging retention settings dialog box appears.

6. From the Edit staging retention settings list, you can select the following options:

   1. Cycle(s)

   2. Day(s)

   3. None.

   Note

   The option None is selected by default.

7. Set the number of days or cycles you want the data to be retained at the staging location. The data is pruned from the staging location after the defined period of time.

8. Click Save.
