Catalyst Stores can be configured as a storage library from the CommCell Console.
Before You Begin

Depending on your environment, ensure that the appropriation pre-configuration tasks are completed.as described in HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Library - Preconfiguration.

Enable HPE Catalyst Storage Library creation from the CommCell Console as described in Enabling HPE Catalyst Storage Library Creation.
Procedure

From the CommCell Browser, expand Storage Resources.

Right-click Libraries, and then click Add | HPE Catalyst Library.
The Add HPE Catalyst Storage dialog box is displayed.

In the Name box, type a name for the library.
The name can include alphanumeric characters 0-9, a-z, and A-Z, and special characters _ - . +.

Select the appropriate MediaAgent from the MediaAgent list.
Note
The selected MediaAgent must be able to communicate with the device.

In the StoreOnce Host box, type the IP address associated with the HPE StoreOnce device.

In the case of Fibre Channel, the COFC identifier must be added. To find the COFC identifier, navigate to Catalyst Settings > Fibre Channel in the StoreOnce Management Console. For more information on configuring Catalyst over Fibre Channel, see Setting up Fibre Channel for HPE Catalyst Library.

In the case of HPE Cloud Volumes Backup Service, the Secure Client name must be provided. The secure client (which is a proxy server) must be downloaded and setup to establish connection with HPE Cloud Backup service. For more information on setting up the HPE Cloud Volumes Backup Service , see HPE CV Backup.

In the Username, box, type the Catalyst Client user name that can be used to access the Catalyst Store.

In the Password and Verify password boxes, enter the password associated with the Catalyst Client user name.

Click the Detect button to populate the list of available stores.

In the Store box, select or type the name of the Catalyst store provided in the StoreOnce Management Console.

Click OK.
The new HPE Catalyst library appears in the CommCell Browser under Storage Resources | Libraries.
What To Do Next

Create a Storage Policy using the newly created HPE Catalyst Storage library. For more information on creating storage policies, see Storage Policy - Getting Started.
Note
Deduplication, Data Encryption and Data Compression options should be disabled when a Storage Policy Copy is associated with a HPE Catalyst Storage library as they are provided in the device. However, when the source is disk storage, the software does not automatically disable Deduplication, Data Encryption and Data Compression. For more information on supported options, see HPE Catalyst Library - Support.

Ensure that the Update cloud library credential to selected device controller only configuration parameter is enabled in Media Management Configuration: Service Configuration dialog box if you have the following configurations:

If you have different credentials for the MediaAgents sharing this library

If you have both the FC (Fiber Channel) connection to one or more MediaAgents, as well as IP connection to the other MediaAgents sharing this library
