SS0001: Backup job history shows "Completed with one or more errors"

Symptom

The Job History for a Virtual Server Agent backup job displays "Completed w/ one or more errors".

Cause

This issue occurs in the following cases:

• If the virtual machine, virtual machine disk, or virtual machine configuration file fails to back up.

• If one or more virtual machines in a backup job fails to back up.

• If communication fails with vCenter.

• If a disk included in a backup is not supported (for example, independent disks or physical RDM).

• If metadata collection fails.

Resolution

To ignore metadata collection failures and mark backup jobs as "Completed" (successful), create the bCWEJobMDataFails additional setting on the VSA proxy and set the value to 1. This additional setting applies only to subclients for which the Collect File Details option is selected.
