Transitioning to the ContentStore Mailbox or Journal Mailbox in the Exchange Mailbox Agent

Transition from the Exchange Compliance Archiver Agent to the Exchange Mailbox Agent using either the ContentStore Mailbox or the Journal Mailbox.

Procedure

1. Install the Exchange package, and then add and configure the Exchange Mailbox Agent.

2. Exchange Policies.

3. Configure the mailbox set:

   • ContentStore Mailbox.

   • Journal Mailbox

4. Modify the journal rules on the Exchange server.

5. Verify that the Exchange Mailbox Agent is archiving messages as expected.

6. Using QScripts on the command line, create an Exchange virtual cloud to allow your end users to search all journal messages that were archived by both the Exchange Compliance Archiver Agent and the Exchange Mailbox Agent.

7. Disable activity on the Exchange Compliance Archiver Agent.
