Using the Connect String Instead of OS Authentication (/) to Connect to the Oracle RAC Database

Oracle restores use OS authentication (/) as the connection for control file, SP file or full database restores because the connection to the Oracle instance will not work when a dynamic listener is configured. Set this additional setting to use the connect string instead of OS authentication when you have configured a static listener.

Procedure

• To the client computer, add the additional setting as shown in the following table.
