Configure a subclient to perform backup operations for the DB2 database.
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database Overview tab appears.

On the Instance tab, click an instance.
The instance Overview tab appears.

On the Databases tab, click the database.
The database Overview tab appears.

On the Subclients tab, click Add subclient.
The Add subclient dialog box appears.

In the Subclient name box, enter a name for the subclient.

From the Plan list, select a backup plan.

In the Number of data streams box, enter the number of streams to use for backups.

If you move the Data backup toggle to right, specify the following:

From the Backup mode list, select the following database backup modes:

Online Database
-
Offline Database
-

Select the Online subset check box to back up a subset of an online database, and then select the subset to be backed up.

Select the Exclude logs for backup image check box.

Move the Use DB2 Compression toggle to right to use DB2 compression.

Move the Back up archive logs toggle to right to back up the archive logs.

Select the Delete archive logs after backup check box to delete the logs after successful backups.

Click Save.
Editing a Subclient
Procedure

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Databases.
The database Overview tab appears.

On the Instance tab, click an instance.
The instance Overview tab appears.

On the Databases tab, click the database.
The database Overview tab appears.

On the Subclients tab, click the subclient you want to edit.

In the Content tile, click View/Edit.
The Edit content dialog box appears.

Make the required changes in the respective fields, and then click Save.
