Back Up Power BI Data for a Workspace or Multiple Workspaces

You can back up Power BI data across all workspaces to ensure that all available workspaces, folder structures, and reports are protected.

Before You Begin

• Verify that the Power BI application is configured

• Verify that a backup plan is created

Back Up Workspaces

1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Power Platform.

2. Click the Power BI app.

3. On the Content tab, select the workspace or multiple workspaces, and then click Back up.

   The Backup options dialog box appears.

4. To limit the amount of time that backup jobs run, under Advanced options, select the Enable total running time check box, and then enter the maximum amount of time that you want jobs to run.

   If a backup job is still running when the limit is reached, the job is killed.

5. Click Submit.

Result

Selected Power BI workspaces, including associated folder structures, and reports, are included in the backup. Newly discovered content is automatically included in future backups.
