Configuration of the Primary Remote Snapshot Feature for the Hitachi Vantara Storage Array

To configure Primary Remote Snapshot with the Hitachi Vantara software, you need to add both the primary array and the remote array in Arrays page, and then establish a relationship between them.

Procedure

1. Add a primary storage array. See Setting Up the Hitachi Vantara Array.

2. Add a remote storage array. See Setting Up the Hitachi Vantara Array.

3. To establish a relationship between the primary storage array and the remote storage array, edit the snapshot configuration properties of the primary array. See Configuring the Primary Array for the Primary Remote Snapshot Feature.
