Content indexing processes backed-up data from Google Workspace apps so that you can search the full contents of files and messages.
Indexing Levels
Basic Indexing
With basic indexing, you can search on the attributes of an item or message, such as file name, folder name, sent to, and sent from. By default, the contents from Google Workspace apps are not indexed. This level of indexing is achieved by running a backup job not a content indexing job.
Advanced Content Indexing
With advanced content indexing, you can do the following:

Search on the contents of files and messages.

Search on the attributes of an item or message, such as file name, folder name, sent to, and sent from.
