After you add a Google Cloud Firestore subclient, you can modify its settings to change the backup plan, change the SLA, and modify the backup content.
Go to the subclient

From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > AI & Analytics.

Click the Google Cloud Firestore configuration.

On the Subclients tab, click the subclient.
Configure subclient-specific settings
Use these settings to control how Google Cloud Firestore backups run for the subclient.

Backup plan: Select a different backup plan after you configure backups for Google Cloud Firestore. The new backup plan must be created on Commvault Air Gap Storage.

Exclude application from SLA calculations: Enable this option to exclude this subclient from SLA reporting.
Content settings
To modify the collections included in the backup:

Click the pencil (edit) icon next to Content.

Choose either:

Select specific collections: Browse the tree and select individual collections to protect.

Define rules: Use content rules to select collections dynamically. The special value "ALL" discovers all collections at backup time. Tag-based discovery is supported to automatically include or exclude collections matching GCP resource tag criteria.

Top-level collections are displayed in the browse tree. Sub-collections are included automatically by the Firestore export API but are not shown individually in the UI.
Granular mode
Enable Granular mode to perform one export operation per collection, allowing per-collection restore granularity. When disabled (default), all selected collections are exported in a single operation.
Save changes

Review your changes.

Click Save.
Changes to the backup plan and content settings apply to the next scheduled backup.
