You can restore archived Salesforce records when they are needed again—either to the original organization, a different organization or a file system—and choose whether to include parent records, child records, and specific fields.
Commvault software does not support unarchive for certain objects. For a list of Salesforce objects that cannot be unarchived, see Salesforce Objects Not Supported for Restores and Unarchive.
Procedure
-
From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Salesforce.
-
Go to the Organizations tab, and click the archive app instance.
-
Click Unarchive, and then select the Object.
-
Select the records that you want to restore.
-
Click Unarchive.
-
From the Destination organization list, select the Salesforce organization.
-
From the Fields to restore list, select the fields.
-
To include parent objects in the restore, enable the Unarchive parent object records toggle key.
-
To include dependent objects in the restore, enable the Unarchive dependent object records toggle key, and then select Immediate or All for Dependent object level.
-
From the Included dependent objects list, select the dependent objects that you want to include in restore.
By default, the Commvault software selects all the dependent objects based on your selection for Dependent object level.
-
To disable the Salesforce triggers, flows, workflows, and rules only for the restore, select the Disable triggers and rules check box.
-
Click Run, and then click Confirm.
