Commvault provides protection for Pinecone vector data by capturing and storing index data outside the Pinecone environment. This approach helps ensure data durability and enables recovery independent of the source system.
The integration supports protection of vector indexes and associated metadata, allowing organizations to maintain the integrity and availability of data used in AI and search workloads. By storing protected data in managed storage, Commvault helps reduce the risk of data loss and supports operational resilience.
Supported cloud platforms
Commvault supports Pinecone indexes hosted on the following platforms:
-
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
-
Microsoft Azure
-
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
