  4. Select the Okta object that you want to restore. You can select all the objects available in the organization.

  5. Click Restore.

  6. To include deleted items in the restore, select Include deleted items.

  7. To restore the associated relationships, select Restore relationships.

  8. If you are restoring a user that has been deleted, enter a new user default password.

  9. Click Restore.

You can view the restore job details from the Monitoring tab, where Current activity displays active jobs and Recent activity displays recently completed jobs.

Post-restore user password reset

When you restore a user, the user must reactivate their account. As an administrator, you must provide the user with the New user default password that you configured during the restore operation. The user can then use this default password to log in and reset their password to complete the reactivation process. Restoring non-user objects (such as groups and policies) does not require a password or reactivation process.
