To verify that the Lustre file server is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.
Back Up the File Server

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.
The File servers page appears.

Click the file server.
The file server page appears.

Under Subclients, in the row for the subclient, click the action button , and then select Back up.
The Select backup level dialog box appears.

Click OK.
Restore the File Server

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.
The File servers page appears.

Click the file server.
The file server page appears.

Under Subclients, in the row for the subclient, click the action button , and then select Restore.
The Backup Content page appears.

Select the content, and then click Restore.
The Restore options dialog box appears.

Click Submit.
