Performing Qumulo File Storage Restores for CIFS

You can restore the Qumulo File Storage subclient data to a standalone file server.

Before You Begin

Perform a backup.

Procedure

1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.

   The File servers page appears.

2. Click the file server.

   The file server page appears.

3. Under Agents, click CIFS.

   The agent properties page appears.

4. In the Action column for the subclient you backed up, click the action button , and then click Restore.

   The Backup Content page appears.

5. Choose the content that you want to restore.

   • To restore the contents of the entire subclient, select the check box next to Name.

   • To restore particular files, expand the folder and then select the files.

6. Click Restore.

   The Restore options dialog box appears.

7. From the Destination client list, choose the destination computer for the restore.

8. Choose the restore location.

   • To restore to the original backup location, select the Restore to original folder check box.

   • To restore to a new location, clear the Restore to original folder check box and then in the Destination Path box, type the full path to the destination folder.

9. Optional: If the destination client does not have access to the UNC path provided in the Destination Path box, then enable the Impersonate user slider, and then enter the user name and password required to access the UNC path.

10. To overwrite the existing data, select the Unconditionally overwrite if it already exists check box.

11. Optional: To receive an Email when the restore operation completes, select the When the job completes, notify me via email check box.

12. Click Submit.
