Restricting Access to a Container

Metallic Recovery Reserve is by default setup with read / write access to facilitate both the read and write operations. If necessary, you can restrict access to a container as follows:

• Setup the container with read-only access

• Disable the container so that both read and write operations are restricted

Procedure

1. From the navigation, click Storage > Cloud.

   The Cloud page appears.

2. Click the Metallic Recovery Reserve resource.

   The <cloud storage> page appears.

3. In the Container list, click the container that contains the cloud access path that you want to share.

   The <container properties> page appears.

4. In the Cloud access paths list, click a Container.

   The Edit cloud access path dialog box is displayed.

5. In the Advanced tab, choose one of the following options:

   • From the Access list, select Read to setup the container with read-only access.

   • Clear the Enable option to disable both the read and write operation on the container.

6. Click Save.
