Subclient Peak Usage Report for Protected Virtual Instances

The Subclient Peak Usage Report for Protected Virtual Instances displays the total license usage for VSA and Kubernetes subclients in the selected CommCell environment for the selected month.

Only some of the columns appear by default. You can view any additional columns by using the Columns setting.

Where to Access the Report

To view this report, in the Subclient Peak Usage Report, on the More Info tab, in the Protected Virtual Instances peak usage per month chart, click a bar.

Protected Virtual Instances

This table displays each backup job, the client where it ran, and the amount of data that was backed up.

Column

Description

Client ID

The ID that is assigned to the virtual instance.

Client

The virtual instance where the backup job ran.

Job ID

The ID for the backup job.

Size

The size of stateful Kubernetes applications.

If the Kubernetes application is stateless, the size appears as 0 because stateless applications do not have persistent volumes attached.

K8s

An indication of whether the Kubernetes application is Stateful or Stateless:

  • Stateful: K8s applications that have an associated persistent volume attached.

  • Stateless: K8s applications that do not have an associated persistent volume attached.

Company ID

The ID that is assigned to the organization.

Company

The organization that owns the virtual instance.

Plan

The plan that is associated with the virtual instance.

Peak Usages Excluded from Capacity Because of Protected Virtual Instances License

This table displays the largest jobs for each subclient that were excluded from capacity because they were protected by the Protected Virtual Instances license.

Column

Description

License ID

The ID that is assigned to the license.

License

The type of license.

Job ID

The ID for the job that ran.

Job Type

The type of job that ran, such as Backup.

Client ID

The ID assigned to the client computer.

Client

The client computer where the hypervisor host is located.

Agent ID

The ID that is assigned to the agent type.

Agent

The type of agent.

Instance ID

The ID that is assigned to the instance.

Instance

The type of hypervisor, such as VMware or Azure.

Backup Set ID

The ID that is assigned to the backup set.

Backup Set

The backup set that is associated with the subclient.

Subclient ID

The ID that is assigned to the subclient.

Subclient

The subclient that was backed up.

Storage Policy ID

The ID that is assigned to the storage policy.

Storage Policy

The storage policy associated with the subclient.

Usage

The largest amount of data that was backed up for the subclient during the specified month.

Company ID

The ID that is assigned to the organization.

Company

The organization that owns the client computer.

Plan

The plan that is associated with the subclient and storage policy.
