A workload location is the geographic location of a workload. Workload regions that are assigned to workloads in the CommCell environment, enable the association of backup destination regions to servers based on region-based storage plans.
For example, if New Jersey is a workload region assigned to a server that has a region-based storage plan with multiple backup destinations such as New York and Florida, then the server data is automatically backed up to a storage location in New York. This is because New York is geographically closer to New Jersey.
