Configuring Access to the Web Server Using a Port-Forwarding Gateway

Updated

If a firewall is placed between the Web Server and a Web Console computer or a Command Center computer, you must configure a port-forwarding gateway to open connections to the Web Server through the Web Console computer or Command Center computer. This is useful when you have installed the Web Console in a perimeter network to provide global access for external users.

If the Web Server is installed on the CommServe computer in a CommServe LiveSync environment, you must configure a port-forwarding gateway to open connections from the remote Web Console computer and the remote Command Center computer.
