Use this dialog box to define the Cassandra cluster details.

Client Name

The client name.

Instance Name

The name that represents the Cassandra cluster in the CommCell Console.

Gateway Node

The Cassandra node that the Commvault software connects to, and uses for managing and initiating Cassandra node data protection operations.

Gateway Java path

The full path to the Cassandra gateway node Java installation path, for example, /opt/java/jreXX.xx/bin.

Cassandra Configuration File Path

The path to the Cassandra configuration file on the node chosen as the CQL host.

CQL Host

The IP address of the node the software uses for Cassandra CQL connections.

CQL Port

The port that the software uses for Cassandra CQL connections.

The default is 9042.

JMX Port

The port that the Cassandra software uses for JMX connections.

Authentication Settings

Click Configure to set up the JMX and CQL authentication settings.

Enable Commit Log Backups

Select this check box to have the Commvault software back up the Cassandr commit log.

Archive Log Path

The path to the folders where the software archives the commit logs, such as /comm or /opt/test.

Archive Command

The archive command. There following options are available:

  • cp: This command copies the commit log to the archive log path.

  • ln: This command creates a hard link to the commit logs in the archive path.
