You can remove the network settings of a client computer.
Procedure
-
On the Network Route Configuration tab, look at the Configure Network Route Settings check box. If network properties are inherited from a client group, there will be a note below the check box that indicates this. Do the following:
-
Check to see if the client computer is part of any client group that is inheriting network configurations from any topology. If it is, then remove that client from that topology group.
-
Check all other topology groups and remove the client from all those groups.
-
-
Check for any client-level advanced network configurations, as follows:
-
From the CommCell Browser, expand Client Computers, right-click the client, and then click Properties.
The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.
-
Click Network.
The Network Properties dialog box appears.
-
On the Network Route Configuration tab, clear the Configure Network Route Settings check box, and then click OK.
-
Click Network.
The Network Properties dialog box appears.
-
On the Summary tab, verify whether the client computer has any connections from other clients. If it does, write down the names of those clients.
-
-
If you found connections in Step 2, above, locate each client and then do the following:
-
Right-click the client, and then click Properties.
The Client Computer Properties dialog box appears.
-
Click Network.
-
On the Network Route Configuration tab, on the Incoming Connections sub-tab, select the client whose network settings were removed, and then click Delete.
-
On the Outgoing Routes sub-tab, select the client whose network settings were removed, and then click Delete.
-
Click OK.
-
-
Right-click the client, and then click All Tasks > Push Network Configuration.
-
From the <Software Install Directory>/Base folder, open the FwConfigInstall.txt file (if it exists), delete any existing network routes, and then save the file.
-
From the <Software Install Directory>/Base folder, open the FwConfigLocal.txt file (if it exists), delete any defined configurations, and then save the file.
