Setting the Software to Store the DB2 Tablespace High Water Mark

Updated

Use this procedure when you perform DB2 non-automatic storage tablespace backups.

By default, the software store the latest tablespace backup DB2 high water mark. Set this additional setting to Y to have the software store the DB2 high water mark for each DB2 tablespace backup.

After you set this additional setting, a point-in-time browse displays the DB2 high water mark for the non-automatic storage tablespace backups.

The software displays the high water mark on the Redirect Tablespace Container box (Advanced Restore Options dialog box, Redirect tab).

We recommend that you perform a backup after you configure this additional setting.
