Add Sites to the SharePoint Online App

Add the sites that you want to back up to the SharePoint Online app.

Note

  • To add Project Web App sites, disable Modern Authentication. You can back up Project Web App sites only in a basic authentication environment.

  • If your Microsoft 365 client uses the Multi-Geo feature and each region has a different tenant admin URL for SharePoint Online sites, you must configure a separate Microsoft 365 client for each region. Site discovery is specific to each tenant, so using separate clients ensures that SharePoint Online sites in all geo-locations are discovered.

Before You Begin

Create a Microsoft 365 Plan.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Protect > Office 365.

    The Office 365 apps page appears.

  2. In the Name column, click the app.

    The app page appears.

  3. On the Sites tab, click Add, and then select Add sites.

    The Add sites dialog box appears.

  4. From the Office 365 plan list, select the plan to use for the sites.

  5. From the Sites list, select the sites to add.

  6. Click Add.
