Configuring Deployment of the VMware Image in an Offline CommCell Environment

You can download a VMware image file (.OVA package) so that users can deploy a VMware FREL or Linux access node from the Command Center in an offline environment.

Procedure

1. Download the VMware image of Commvault software for the appropriate release.

2. On the access node, save the VMware Image of Commvault Software .OVA file.

3. In the FrelOvaLocation additional setting, in the Value box, enter the location of the VMware image file.

   For example, if you saved the VMware image file in the OVA folder on the C: drive, enter C:\OVA\FREL_VMWare_11.26_v1.ova.

4. Deploy the VMware FREL or Linux access node:

   • Deploying a VMware Access Node for Linux
