Perform a Test Backup and Restore of Qumulo File Storage for NFS

To verify that the Qumulo file server is set up correctly, perform a test backup and restore.

Back Up Qumulo File Storage Exported to NFS

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.

The Overview page appears.
Go to the File Servers tab and click the file server.

The file server page appears.
Under Protocols, click NFS.

The CIFS Overview page appears.
On the Subclients tab, in the row for the subclient, click the action button , and then click Backup.

The Backup dialog box appears.
For Backup options, select the backup type.
To receive an email when the backup operation completes, select the When the job completes, notify me via email check box.

From the navigation pane, go to Protect > File servers.

The File servers page appears.
Click the file server.

The file server page appears.
Under Agents, click NFS.

The agent properties page appears.
Under Subclients, in the row for the subclient, click the action button , and then click Restore.

The Backup Content page appears.
Select the content, and then click Restore.

The Restore options dialog box appears.
From the Destination client list, select the computer to restore the data to.
Select the Restore to original folder check box.
To overwrite the existing data, select the Unconditionally overwrite if it already exists check box.
To receive an email when the restore operation completes, select the When the job completes, notify me via email check box.
Click Submit.
