Preparing the Environment for the Commvault Plug-In for VMware Cloud Director

Configure options in your environments for VSA Indexing Versions 1 and 2 clients.

VSA Indexing Version 1 Clients

For VSA Indexing Version 1 clients, you must enable the Queue jobs if other conflicting jobs are active option so that conflicting jobs are queued, instead of failing. After the condition that caused the job to be queued clears, the Job Manager automatically resumes the job.

Procedure

1. From the CommCell Console ribbon, click the Home tab, and then click Control Panel.

2. Under the Data section, click Job Management.

   The Job Management dialog box appears.

3. On the General tab, select Queue jobs if other conflicting jobs are active check box.

VSA Indexing Version 2 Clients

For VSA Indexing Version 2 clients, you must enable the JMShowPseudoVMJobs additional setting for child data protection jobs to display in the Job Controller.

Procedure

• On the CommServe computer, add the JMShowPseudoVMJobs additional setting with a value 1 (enabled).
