The reset drive operation un-mounts media mounted in the drive, thereby making the drive ready for use.
Note that the reset operation will not run if the drive is reserved or in use.
Procedure

From the navigation pane, click Storage > Tape.
The Tape page is displayed.
2. Click the tape_storage that contains this drive.

For the tape_drive that you want to reset, click the Actions button
and click Reset drive. -
Click Yes in the Confirm reset prompt.
Result
The drive will be reset and a message will be briefly displayed in the upper right corner. An informational event will be logged in the Events page.
