Restoring Huawei FusionCompute Guest Files and Folders

You can restore files and folders from a backup of a Huawei FusionCompute VM.

Requirements

If a passkey is configured for restores, you must have the passkey.

Procedure

  1. From the Command Center navigation pane, go to Protect > Virtualization.

    The Virtual machines page appears.

  2. Click the VM groups tab.

    The VM group page appears.

  3. On the VM groups tab, in the row for the VM group, click the action button action_button , and then click Restore.

    The Select restore type page appears.

  4. Select Guest files.

    The Restore page appears.

  5. To select a specific MediaAgent and/or source for the restore, in the upper-right area of the page, click the Settings button gear button.

    By default, the Commvault software automatically selects the MediaAgent and source as follows:

    • MediaAgent: The software selects a MediaAgent based on availability and environment.

    • Source: The software searches for the requested data in the primary copy. If the data is not found in the primary copy, the software selects a different copy.

  6. Select the content to restore, and then click Restore.

    The Restore options dialog box appears.

  7. From the Destination client list, select the access node to restore the content to.

  8. For the Destination path box, enter the path to restore the content to.

  9. To delete an existing file and replace it with the restored file, select Unconditionally overwrite if it already exists.

  10. Click Submit.
