Support for FusionStorage

You can deploy Commvault to protect FusionCompute workloads that run as part of a hyper-converged solution on FusionStorage. See Support for FusionStorage.

Supported Operating Systems for Access Nodes

Linux

For Linux access nodes, disable automatic activation of volumes to avoid issues with HotAdd operations during backup and recovery. For more information, see Disabling Automatic Activation of Volumes for a Linux Proxy.

  • CentOS 6.x, 7, 8

  • RHEL 6.x, 7, 7.5, 8

    Note

    • For RHEL 8.x or 9.x VMs, to install operating system packages that are required to enable automatic installation of Mono, register the VMs with Red Hat.

    • When using FusionStorage 6.2, RHEL 7.3 or a more recent version is recommended.
