Use this dialog box to specify the details for the auxiliary instance the software uses to stage a PDB clone or a tablespace for a point-in-time restore.
PFILE
The full path to the PFILE that the software uses when it creates the instance.
If you do not specify a PFILE, the Commvault software automatically creates a file.
Note
The Commvault software uses the parameters that you define in the PFILE. The database name is the internally generated database name for the PDB clone job.
Staging Path
The full path to the location where the software creates the auxiliary instance. The value must be a valid file system path.
Commvault does not support ASM/raw devices to host an auxiliary instance.
Cleanup Auxiliary
Select this check box to have the software automatically clean up the instance after it creates a clone.
This option only applies to a PDB clone operation.
