Impersonate NT User

Use this dialog box to specify the user account used by the system to log in and access the Oracle application during backup and restore.

User Account

Displays the name of the user account currently used by the instance to access the Oracle application. You can use this space to modify the user account.

The following table describes the user privileges required by the Oracle iDataAgent:

Operating System

The User Account Should Be:

Windows

  • Local Administrator of the computer on which the Oracle database resides.

  • User should be part of the ora_dba group with read/write permissions on the Commvault folder.

Unix

On Unix operating systems, specifies the Oracle User account under which the Oracle backups will be conducted.

Password (and Confirm Password)

Use the spaces to type the correct user account password and, retype it for confirmation.
